Ms. Elizabeth Collins, Teacher of the Year 2013

We are proud to announce Knollwood School's 2013 Teacher of the Year: Ms. Elizabeth Collins. Ms. Collins currently serves as a first grade teacher. In addition to being an extraordinary educator, she has been an integral leader of the First Grade Team and the Knollwood Staff. Her enthusiasm and love for her students permeate everything she does.  We are so proud to have Ms. Collins at our school and wish her continued success in the education of our children. Q: What is the name of your elementary school?

St. Francis

Q: Who was your favorite teacher and why?

Mrs. Jennings. She was my third grade teacher and she made school a fun place to learn. 

Q: What do you like most about Knollwood School?

I love the warm, inviting climate with wonderful students and staff. 

Q: What do you like most about your job?

I love spending my days with children and seeing their faces light up when learning!

Q: What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is blue.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

My favorite thing to do is to go to the beach and read.

Q: What is your favorite book?

My favorite book is the Wizard of Oz.

Q:  If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be?

I would like to meet Abraham Lincoln.

Q: What is your favorite meal?

My favorite meal is shrimp scampi.

Q: What is your favorite vacation?

My favorite vacation is a trip to Disney.
