Support Person of the Year 2013

Support Person of the Year 2013:  Mrs. Heather Fratesi
We are pleased to announce our Support Person of the Year 2013, Mrs. Heather Fratesi.  Mrs. Fratesi has served as a wonderful Kindergarten Teacher Assistant for several years.  Her love for children and her commitment to their learning are evident every day she steps foot into Knollwood.  We are so pleased that she is the deserving recipient of this award.

Question: Where and when were you born? (year not necessary)

Plainfield, New Jersey on January 22nd

Q: What is the name of your elementary school?

Franklin School in South Plainfield

Q: Who was your favorite teacher and why?

My 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Stue, was my favorite teacher.  She was fun and goofy and always made learning exciting.  She read our class the book “Heather’s Feathers” and then she let me keep the book!

Q: What do you like most about Knollwood School?

I love Knollwood School because the students and the staff make it feel like home.  Everyone is so supportive, caring and respectful to one another.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

I love the students!  There is nothing better than seeing 25 smiling faces every day.  It fills my heart!

Q: What is your favorite color?


Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends.  I love watching my daughters dance on stage.  Seeing them smile makes me smile!

Q: What is the best advice you can give young people?

If you dream it you can achieve it!  Always work hard and try your best and you will be successful!

Q:  If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be?

President John F Kennedy

Q: What is your favorite meal?

My favorite meal is my husband’s Horseradish Crusted Pork Loin with mashed potatoes and broccoli.

Q: What is your favorite vacation?

My family enjoys cruising.  For the past 4 years we have visited many beautiful islands with gorgeous beaches.  So far I would have to say that Aruba has been my favorite!
